morning. here is a live look at the bay bridge to the toll plaza. >>george: we have a disabled big rig, it became so after colliding with vehicles on 80 westbound via the tunnel. this accident happened near highway 4 and low. because of that, it has backed up traffic across the carquinez bridge, over the carquinez street. it is backing of the writers solano county on 80 westbound and through vallejo. the drive time, which had been a 12 minute increase, we are now looking at 15-20 minutes, especially if you're coming out of fear fill this morning were out of american canyon. he will have at an extra 15 minutes your drive time westbound. i will update this and the rest of the commute coming up. >>erica: we do have a lot of cloud cover and fog around the bay area. i do want to turn our
attention to those numbers. let's focus on current conditions. as we take '50s into the afternoon, it will take a while for the cloud cover to clear. we will see low 60s, well below the seasonal average. we have cooler weather coming up. >>james: the sans francisco police are on the scene of the occupy protests and justin herman plaza. police gave them a deadline of 6:00 a.m. to take down their tents. will tran has been monitoring the scene. the last time we chatted, demonstrators had been cooperating. >>will: they are cooperating. there are disbursing although some of them are still here, which they legally can be. if what they cannot do is put up tents. to make sure that does not happen, you can see a couple of
police officers standing there. if tents should go up they will tell them, you cannot do that. you can't stay here because the park is legally open to the public. they can sit here all day, that is not a problem. here is a video that we got around 5:00 a.m.. the to see police officers going through the encampment. police went in and said, we will allow you to stay here even though it is illegal to camp overnight, but if you do not break down the tents by 6:00 a.m.6:00 a.m., will come i officers in riot gear and help you remove the tents. then, we will make arrests. we spoke with the captain of the san francisco police department, i got him on a live interview and here is what he had to say about their tactics. >> the plan would have been, if they did not take the tent down, police would have come in
and help them take the tents down. they can stay in the park just like anyone else, they just cannot camped in the park. no tents or anything that would indicate lodging. since that is why we're here to address. >>will: reportedly, many protesters cent cent tweets and messages to get support, but that support never came. instead of escalating, it looked like a lot of people said i just do not want to get in any confrontation like we saw last year, so they broke down without any caress or officers actually having to yell. nonetheless, you can see them still here. officers will remain here throughout the day and yes, we did see some confrontation, but it was not between officers and the of the fires, it was between occupiers and merchants who said they need this area to do their job.
